SBFE Strengthens Commitment to Human Rights

SBFE Strengthens Commitment to Human Rights

Under the theme “Our rights, our future, right now” this year’s UN Human Rights campaign focuses on the vital importance of human rights as a key to addressing challenges and finding solutions particularly in time of crises.

At SBFE we acknowledge that human rights are inherent to all of us simply because we exist as human beings. These universal rights are not granted by any state but are intrinsic to every individual, regardless of nationality, gender, ethnic origin, race, religion, language, or any other status.

With these values at our core, we’re proud to introduce the updated Suntory Group Human Rights Policy. This policy reinforces our commitment to respecting and protecting human rights in every part of our business and throughout our supply chain. It’s more than just a statement - it’s a clear framework that aligns with international human rights standards and applicable local laws.
The policy applies to everyone at Suntory Group from our executives and employees to our business partners. We’ve put in place a system to identify, prevent, and address potential human rights issues. To ensure accountability, we’ve also created clear ways of reporting concerns and taking action when needed. Additionally, we provide education and resources to help our people understand and implement the policy effectively.

With these steps, we’re reinforcing our commitment to making human rights a central part of everything we do.

With these steps, we’re reinforcing our commitment to making human rights a central part of everything we do.

The Suntory Group is committed to creating a group that is rewarding, and respects diversity, inclusion, and human rights. Key themes in respecting human rights include adherence to rules regarding modern slavery and human trafficking, child labor, discrimination, inhumane treatment, freedom of association and collective bargaining, health and safety, fair working hours, legal wages, and respect for the rights of foreign and migrant workers.

We believe that respecting human rights is not only a moral obligation but also a driver of long-term success. By embracing these principles, we aim to create a business that uplifts communities, protects individuals, and fosters harmony with nature.
