Manchester City announces Lucozade as official sports drink partner

Manchester City has today announced a new multi-year partnership with Lucozade, the UK’s number one sports drink brand, trusted by sporting organisations and athletes worldwide.

Lucozade products, including player bottles and ice coolers, will feature across all domestic home fixtures and training environments for the men’s, women’s and academy teams at the Etihad Stadium, Joie Stadium and City Football Academy. The brand will be further integrated across matchdays through LED advertising displays, strengthening its presence across domestic fixtures throughout the season.

“We are delighted to welcome Lucozade as our new Official Sports Drink Partner. As a brand recognised for performance and innovation, Lucozade is a natural fit to partner with the club and we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring as we continue to strengthen our elite performance environment across the coming seasons.”

Kaitlyn Beale, Vice President Global Partnership Sales at City Football Group, commented

“Keeping players hydrated and helping them refuel to carry on to the final whistle is what Lucozade was made to do. We’ve been synonymous with football and part of the fabric of the sport in this country since the start of the Premier League, supporting players and fans through every moment. Partnering with Manchester City, which is known for its footballing innovation, is an incredibly exciting next step for our brand.”

Matt Riches, European Head of Sponsorship for Lucozade added

Lucozade takes a unique approach to its football partnerships, supporting both the men and women’s team for every club it sponsors – a commitment it has been proud of since it started supporting the England men and women’s teams back in 2007.
